Hardscrabble Farm, owned by FEI rider Jane Kelly, is a friendly and well kept training facility located in Southeastern Michigan. Jane's experience with horses spans 3 decades and includes competition, training horses and people, and show judging. Her personal competition experience ranges from 4-H to USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist (with 2 scores from the Gold), USDF "L" Judge Graduate, USDF Associate Instructor, Qualified Rider, earning MDA, GLDC and CDS awards. Jane continues to compete and excel, and offers lessons and training to others. Jane has been certified by ARIA to teach beginners through advanced riders in hunters and dressage.
In addition to competing and training others, Jane also writes the occassional article for various equine publications. A few of her articles are available on this site.
Jane is available for lessons, clinics, and judging.
