Jane began her career in horses as a young girl. She competed in 4-H, qualifying for New York state finals in Horse Judging, Horse Bowl, and riding. Her early competition experience includes hunter/jumper, Medal/Maclay, qualifying for finals; participating in Pony Club achieving the highest level, Graduate "A;" and eventing through Preliminary, qualifying for championships. Jane continued to compete throughout her college career, riding on an intercollegiate team in huntseat and qualifying for finals.
Jane's training includes three (3) years spent training in Germany, schooling through Grand Prix level in dressage. She has earned many local, regional and national awards from Training Level to Intermediate. Jane continues to train and compete, her USDF awards include Silver Medal with 2 scores from the Gold. Jane has continued her education on an on-going basis through attending and participating in clinics with world renowned trainers such as Cesar Parra and Jane Savoie. She trains with top trainers such as Carol Grant in her effort for continuous improvement. Jane has also been selected to demonstrate at Equine Affaire for three (3) years in a row and she is presently working on obtaining her USDF instructor's certification.
Over the past fifteen years, Jane has served as a U.S. Pony Club National Examiner, graduated as a USDF "L" judge qualified to judge schooling shows, and has in the past, held certification by ARIA to teach through advanced level riders in hunt seat and dressage. Jane is a USDF Associate Instructor who has taught and trained many riders and horses over the past thirty years, many of whom have achieved year-end awards regionally and nationally. Jane continues to compete and she actively trains students and horses in huntseat, jumping and dressage.
